2. What this website does not do
This is a static information website. It has no contact forms, no user accounts, no newsletter, no comment functions and no online shop. It does not embed social media plugins, maps or videos from third parties and does not load fonts from external servers. The only third-party service is Google Analytics 4, and it is loaded only if you consent to it (section 5).
3. Server log files
When you open a page, our hosting provider automatically records technical information that your browser sends: IP address, date and time of the request, the page or file requested, the amount of data transferred, the referring URL, browser type and version, and operating system.
This data is processed to deliver the website, to ensure its stability and security, and to detect and defend against attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is not combined with other data sources and is not used to identify you. Log files are deleted after a maximum of 30 days, unless longer retention is required to investigate a specific security incident.

The website is hosted by an external hosting provider that processes the log data described above on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Data is processed within the European Union.
5. Web analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use it to understand how visitors use our website — for example which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive and which links they click — so that we can improve our content. Google Analytics is not loaded, and no cookies are set, until you click "Accept" in the cookie banner.
Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID> to distinguish visitors and sessions; both expire after 2 years. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google signals and advertising features are deactivated, and no data is used for advertising or personalisation. The event data collected is deleted after 2 months.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act, formerly TTDSG). Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage for 12 months; this is technically necessary to respect your decision (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).
Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google (Art. 28 GDPR).
